Dear AAGE folks,
Like most scholarly organizations, AAGE continues to thrive and grow thanks to members’ willingness to step forward and contribute their energies and ideas. One key way to do so is through leadership service. Serving on the Board is a great way to help shape the future of research in anthropology and aging — and it’s also fun and rewarding to work with such a good team (if we do say so ourselves!)
In a few months, AAGE will be holding elections for two positions:
1) President-Elect (4 year term, Nov 2021 – Nov 2025). After one year as President-Elect, the person in that position begins a two-year term as President, followed by a one-year term as Past-President (thus, the President is assisted in their first year by the Past-President, and in their second year by the President-Elect).
2) Secretary (2 year term, Nov 2021 – Nov 2023)
